Pyramidology
The Egyptian pyramids at Giza have caused enormous controversy between egyptologists and independent researchers, the pyramidologists, who do not agree with the established theories regarding their purpose, origins and construction. On this website I have published my own research on:
* Pyramid Construction: Theories on how the pyramids were built.
* Pyramid Geometry: Detailed information on the geometry of the Great Pyramid
* Esoteric Pyramids: Dedicated to esoteric theories about the pyramids.
I am convinced that the ancient Egyptians, as described by traditional Egyptology, built the pyramids and saying anything else is an insult to human intelligence and endurance. I am interested in esoteric theories regarding the pyramids, not because I believe they are correct, but because they are an interesting aspect of contemporary culture.
Types of pyramidology
The main types of pyramidological accounts involve one or more aspects which include:
* Pseudoarchaeological: varying theories that deny the pyramids were built to serve exclusively as tombs for the Pharaohs; alternative explanations regarding the construction of the pyramids (for example the use of long-lost knowledge; anti-gravity technology, etc...); and hypotheses that they were built by someone other than the historical Ancient Egyptians (e.g. early Hebrews, Atlanteans, or even extra-terrestrials).
* Numerological: Theories that the measurements of the Great Pyramid and its passages are esoterically significant, and their geometric measurements contain some encoded message.
* "Pyramid power": Claims originating in the late 1960s that pyramids as geometrical shapes possess supernatural powers.
